Finlay James Gair

I am a Year 11 student of The King Edward VI School, in Morpeth, sitting GCSE exams, with results due in summer 2025.

I plan to go to Northumberland College, Kirkley Hall Campus, in September 2025 to study Public & Uniformed Services, which is a 1 year course.

I would like to join the Royal Navy. I would like to become a Warfare Rating.

For school work experience I went to the Port of Tyne, South Shields, in June 2024. I really enjoyed learning about how the Port works and seeing all the different areas - security, tech, pilot boats, engineering department. I attended a mandatory health & safety brief when I arrived, as it is a hazardous working environment, with machinery and moving vehicles. I learned the importance of teamwork and communication.
