- Built out the data used in the Fraud reporting infrastructure, using DBT to collect all touchpoints any fraudsters hit into one Explore within Looker, reducing data requests from the Fraud team by 50%
- Highlighted a bug in the digital ledger which allowed fraudsters to circumvent paying a specific fee for a service within the app, equating to £250k in missing revenue
- Optimised long-running queries (>12 hours) building our DAU and MAU funnels to run in under 2 minutes, saving 60% of our Redshift compute capacity in the process
- Led the restructuring of our DBT project reducing the number of models built by 30% and improving total runtime from 120 minutes to 50 minutes
- Provided training for day-to-day users of Looker, demonstrating how to create Views and Dashboards for their own reporting purposes
- Designed and delivered the first internal SQL training to advanced Looker users to reduce dependency on the Data Platform team via self service
- Created a root cause report showing the backlog of 10000+ refunds, which had to be matched manually leading the Operations team to complete all the backlog of refunds in under a week
