As a current student at Nottingham Trent University studying Business Management and Marketing and an employee of McDonald's I am a highly motivated, hard working individual looking to develop my skills through education and work experience. Throughout my time in education and in hospitality I have been able to develop my written and verbal communication skills, team working skills and undertake projects in which I perform primary and secondary research using analytical ability in order to reach a goal. In addition this has allowed me to undertake work experience in areas such as the Equity Release department with Aviva. My career goal is to assume a graduate position in which I am able to continue to develop my professional and personal skills through opportunity to explore several aspects of a business and work closely with the industry's leading professionals.
Upon seeking work experience as part of the second year of my university course, I was able to gain contact with Ben De Tarrier the Equity Release Operations Lead in which I was given the opportunity to work in the Norwich Union office working closely with the Equity Release team.
I was given the opportunity to work in the new business department opening new applications, reviewing property valuations and corresponding with customers. In addition to this I was also able to explore the current and expiring business department in which we reviewed expired policies or any issues with current policies meaning I was given opportunity to construct letters to policy holders to inform them of any deadlines for repayment or any updates/issues regarding the policy and property in question.
