Hello! My name is Filype Marques. I am a graduate based in Canterbury (Kent). I studied Digital Arts at the University of Kent for 3 years. Within these 3 years I learnt graphic design, 3D modelling and photography. However, I mainly focus on graphic design now as it is where my passion lies. I have a lot of experience with customer service and worked in retail for 2 years.
I am a patient and hard working individual. I work well with everyone that I meet and would consider myself a team player. I know how to conduct myself well and have good communication skills.
I studied graphic design for one semester at the University of Kent and really enjoyed it. I learnt how to use adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and even a bit of After Effects. I really enjoy working on different projects, whether it is something professional like a business event or something creative like a film poster. I have designed websites, magazine adverts, event posters, album artworks and many more. I always keep an open mind when designing and try to create something that stands out.
The role of this job involved a lot of teamwork and communication especially as we use headsets to talk to each other to make things more efficient. There were also a variety of tasks that I did as a customer assistant such as stacking shelves, preparing the bakery, working at the tills and de-carding/cleaning. It was a very customer based job and it gave me a chance to communicate directly with our customers about any queries they may have had or even just chat to make the experience better for them.
I was in charge of delivering food from restaurants/stores to a customer. I was always friendly to customers and followed their instructions carefully. I had to be patient, as I understood that restaurants may be busy at certain times. I made sure that the food is stored safely and handled with care.
My main responsibility within this employment was to maintain my own shooting stand. I was responsible for looking after the equipment and helping customers with the shooting activity. I helped new co-workers on how to use the equipment and was part of the team that would put the equipment away in storage. I also had responsibilities in the shop stacking shelves and assisting customers with their needs. I worked part time as I was also studying
