I am a TEFL certified English language teacher with a year and a half of full-time experience teaching in Taiwan, where I delivered dynamic, engaging lessons for students aged 4 to 13. I create inclusive, student-centred learning environments that encourage confidence, curiosity, and progress, with a strong emphasis on one-to-one engagement to meet each learner's individual needs and to build confidence within students. I pride myself on creating a safe learning environment that encourages students to be themselves and reach their full potential. My approach to teaching is adaptable, but centred on the idea that students learn best when they are in a safe space and are able to have fun. This view is grounded in real classroom experience and shaped by teaching a variety of different students. As well as professional teaching experience, I have also previously volunteered as an English teacher for marginalised Romani and Ashkali communities in Kosovo, helping these students, who had often been excluded from mainstream education, to learn English and foster a love for language learning. I also have experience as a teaching assistant and sports coach at a prestigious secondary school in New Zealand, where I developed my skills in mentorship and communication. This blend of classroom teaching, community volunteering, and youth coaching has equipped me with the confidence, patience, and skills to allow any student to thrive in my classroom. I am passionate about building meaningful connections with students and helping them develop not only language skills, but also self-belief and global awareness.
