I began my journey as a Cost Administrator with no prior experience in the field and have developed a deep understanding of cost management through hands-on learning and dedication. Over time, I have grown into a trusted team member, regularly stepping in to support or cover key Cost Manager responsibilities in my manager’s absence.

Over the past year in my role, I successfully secured over £35,000 in credits on plant invoices by identifying discrepancies and challenging overbilling, supporting accurate cost control and delivering significant savings for the business.

  • Delivered timely resolution of invoice and receipting order queries and discrepancies by working with payable accounts, suppliers and end users
  • Raise credit requests promptly where overbilling or duplicate charges are identified.
  • Processing GRNs (Goods received notes) for both material and plant orders

  • Ensuring plant hire/off hire are kept up to date in cost system/subcontract
