From this I have gained extensive knowledge in Early Years and the Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 curriculum. I am highly skilled at planning and implementing lessons for children of all ages. I am also good at assisting teachers within a classroom environment and using my initiative when needed. I am brilliant at organising files and documents and can multitask when required. I always follow safeguarding rules and make sure to keep my school days and the children's information confidential at all times. I have excellent teaching skills and will use a using a variety of strategies to model positive behaviour. I have the ability to maintain good communication with students by speaking in a calm and clear manner and use my abilities to help motivate students to make good progress. Praise and encouragement is also something I use frequently to build the students self esteem and also to promote further development. I am a hardworking and mindful person who offers passionate and informed support for all children and also staff members. I am organised and like to work from a structured routine which I know is important to the balance of the day for a lot of children too. I have extensive experience of working with children who have Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and ADHD. Not only do I have the professional knowledge of working with children who have SEN but I also have my own personal experiences to help guide me. I have a 12 year old son who is on the ASC diagnosis pathway and a 14 year old daughter who is diagnosed with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder and a PDA profile. I can appreciate situations from a parental and professional point of view and use this advantage to help me develop strategies that I will use consistently to help the children regulate themselves better In a school environment and to help them feel safe and valued. I have learned and pride myself on being a patient and nurturing person to help children with SEN thrive in a school environment. Celebrating small wins and success for every student helps each individual child grow and develop. I always try to be positive as this is a beneficial quality for SEN children as your behaviour rubs off on them and is a positive attribute in any environment. I have a passion for animals and have many at home which have created a calming and nurturing environment for both my children to grow up and thrive in. They have learned calming skills and how to care for living things in a positive way which has been beneficial for their development.
