I am motivated and creative with a big interest in engineering, business and practical problem-solving. I have developed skills in content production, event organisation and childcare through diverse work experiences.
I also completed Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, with good teamwork, confidence and determination not to give in when it got hard.
I am always looking for opportunities to make myself better, by learning more about a subject so i can become more of an expert in that area, or to better my skills. I think this is a big strenght of mine, i get hyper focussed on areas and try to be the best i can be.
When i was old enough I applied for a job at our local SPAR store to do a Paper Round, I got through the interview and got the job to be on the team of paper round boys and girls in our area of town. From this I learnt to manage deadlines through time management and problem-solving. Delivers papers always on time, adapting to different weather conditions while keeping a high standard of reliability. When the paper rounds were all stopped, I was made redundant but they said I was one of the best members of staff and they said ' Farrah Implemented strategic planning to maximise coverage and improve service delivery. She was highly reliable and had no time off or ever showed up late. She was incredibly efficient, had she been 16 we would have kept her on in a different role, but sadly paper rounds were the only option for 13 year olds and we have stopped them completely.'
I am also a dedicated Babysitter with strengths in child safety and engagement. I am good at keeping routines, meals, and bedtime tasks to keep the children in my care happy and safe. From this experience over 4 years I have developed patience and communication skills.
