Accomplishments
In 2017 I was nominated for the Young Muslim Writers Awards under the journalism category for an article I wrote on acid attacks. Selected from thousands of entries, I was invited to an awards ceremony in London, attended by several prominent authors and CEOs. This helped me develop strong writing skills, particularly in presenting complex social issues clearly and thoughtfully.
In 2018, I was nominated again under the short story category on the topic of forced marriage and was invited to the awards ceremony in Senate House, London. Following the nomination I was also invited for an interview on national television to discuss my story, it required me to articulate sensitive themes and engage effectively with a broad audience.
