Projects

  • Project Initiation Document (PID), 08/25, Worked with a team of four members to write a project initiation Document as part of our In Course Assessment, from Business case to PID using PRINCE2 framework. Contribution: As part of the team, I acted in the capacity of a Project Manager for my team and Change Authority. Developed the Business Case and applied PRINCE2 Framework to produce the PID. Had a group presentation before the lecturer. Learning: We were able to develop a Project Initiation Document from Business Case.
  • Development of Fuzzy Risk Assessment Model Using MATLAB through the Simulink Library, 08/25, Worked independently using Fuzzy Risk Assessment Model to determine fuzzy risk number with MATLAB and Simulink. I produced the architecture of the models and the IF/THEN rules. Outcome: I was able to use the Fuzzy Risk Number to accurately prioritise risk, provide a better ranking of risks under uncertainty and improve decision making.
  • Final Year Project, 11/11, Strength Characteristics of Sandcrete when riverbed sharp sand is partially replaced with Laterite and runoff soil. Worked in a team of five to analyse the difference in compressive strength of sandcrete block when the sharp sand is partially and completely replaced with both laterite and runoff soil. Contribution: I served as the team leader and presented a report to my supervisor and several lecturers. Learning: I acquired public speaking skills as well as teamwork. I came to understand engineering principles and processes, including block production.
