  • Worked every Christmas season from November 2019 – December 2023
  • I worked at Lancaster on ice as a seasonal event worker every winter since 2019. My first role was Working in the skate exchange where I would swap the customers shoes for skates.
  • The following year alongside working on the exchange I would train the new starters. When it came to the training aspects of the job, I would explain how we are required to talk to customers using a polite and welcoming attitude to ensure that the customers would have a great experience from start to finish.
  • The year after I was asked to work in the box office as well as working in the skate exchange which I was more than happy to do. This job role included booking people in for sessions whether that was in person or over the phone, taking payments and handling money, issuing tickets and helping solve solutions for customers' needs and demands.
  • Over the years I worked at the establishment on some of our busiest days (Christmas eve and New Year's Eve) I would be asked to supervise the team on the skate exchange to avoid as many difficulties and issues as possible. I would give clear direction to both the staff and to customers and dealt with problems that occurred over the day.
