Evie Gascoyne

The business was a furniture shop owned by my aunt, and i often spent weekends helping her to move things around, rearranging the store, and sometimes helping speak to customers if they needed help finding something specific, which i was often good at. This was when i was thirteen and it was not the most professional setting at times due to my age, but it helped me grow as a person and i believe if i had an opportunity to do this again now i would be far more professional as i have the experience and skills, but now also the maturity and eagerness to learn more about the world of work.

This was a one day trip with school to learn different work based skills to help year 10 students to develop and grow their skills, and also to help us realise what skills we already have and it helped me personally to see what i meed to be a good person, and it helped me to realise how i can truly adapt myself into many different settings of both solo and group work. I also demonstrated respect, and kindness to those around me throughout the day.
