Summary

My name are Evelyn llade-Williams, I was qualified as registered general nurse in June 2001 with NMC after my adaptations with Lewisham hospital research centre as RGN AND RMN in 2010. To consolidate my training, I worked on active and chronic ward in Lewisham hospital, Barts and London trust with other nursing agencies. this has dramatically exposed me to how to care for critically sick patients and this has also equipped me to understand the important of health promotion, ability to implement evidence-based practice to offer both psychological and emotional support to patient and relatives. I have worked as district nurse with various NHS trusts, my role as district nurse in the community are to manage patients care in their homes which includes assessment, planning, implement and evaluated care that are catherization of both male and female, wounds care, management of incontinent, end of life care (palliative care), obtain blood samples from patients and send to hospital labs, venepunctures and cannulation, administration of medication oral, subcutes. Intramuscular injection and intravenous, management of chronic illness and long-term condition such as Asthma care and Diabetes care. To compensate for further, I develop an excellent leadership role in supporting and mentoring students and junior staff, delegating work to healthcare assistants. I transferred this role and utilized the skill learned during my nursing in wards and community. I have gained twenty-two years of experience in clinical practice and worked in both private and NHS settings. As community staff nurse my public health role includes helping clients identify and tackle health needs an example of this taking measures to combat inequality in health and promote equality in health. AS staff nurse in the ward, anticipate working as member of a team which I am good at in term of maintaining composure stress-free attitude and having calming effect on others and showing readability and being a good role model. I am currently working in HMP Chelmsford as Registered general nurse Registered mental nurse. In primary care department works as qualified nurse in the following units-nurse led clinic (triage), administration of medication through PGD and PTP, Dispensed controlled drugs (methadone, buprenorphine, pregabalin, etc), attend emergency response situation and assess patient and under reception screening. I also worked with substance misused team (Drugs and Alcohols unit) in prison which make me to worked with patient with opiate and alcohol misuses issues in partnership with other agencies. I involved in the assessment of alcohol and drug dependency clients offer opiate substitutes treatment, ambulatory detox and provides holistic treatment that includes physical health, mental health assessment, BBV vaccination and drugs for toxicology screening. I possess excellent communication skills, I manage my time very well and effectively and also prioritise patient care accordingly. I am reliable in my job, honest, a caring person who is full of enthusiasm to learns new skills and make a difference in health of community and the nation. I know with all knowledge and skills gained during my studies and practice I am able to achieve this planning and delivered of best quality care. I am aware of significant role of nurse in providing health improvement and prevention of ill health as well as developing services that are accessible convenient and of a consistently high standard as pointed out in NHS plan. Similarly, as an important contributor in carrying forward the underline government policy in saving lives.
