Work history

Fashion industry experience (virtual)

SpringPod
Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire
06.2024 - 07.2024

I completed an online work experience programme focused on many aspects and sectors of the fashion industry. This has given me a valuable insight into how the industry operates behind the scenes. I learned about the different career paths available, including design, marketing, styling and sustainability. The experience helped me understand how trends are developed, how fashion brands build their identity, and the importance of creativity and business skills in the industry. It also improved my ability to research and develop my online digital skills, and deepened my interest in working in a creative field.

Teaching assistant (work experience)

St Michaels Primary School
Stoke Gifford, South Gloucestershire
07.2022 - 07.2022

During my work experience as a Year 2 teaching assistant, I had the opportunity to support both the teacher and students in a busy classroom environment and further surroundings outside the classroom. I helped with reading sessions, group activities, and classroom organisation. This experience taught me how to communicate clearly with young children, be patient and supportive, and manage responsibilities in a professional setting. I also developed skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and time management, which I believe will be valuable in any future role.

Cattery assistant

Aristocats Cattery
Cutts Heath, Wotton-under-Edge
01.2022 - 07.2022

Volunteering at a small cattery was a rewarding and eye-opening experience that deepened my compassion for animals and strengthened my sense of responsibility. Working closely with cats of all ages and natures, I learned how to care for their physical and emotional needs—cleaning enclosures, feeding, administering medication, and socialising nervous or rescued cats. Being part of a small team meant I had hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of the cattery, which developed my initiative, attention to detail, and reliability. Above all, the experience taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of consistency when caring for cats and kittens.

Accomplishments

Since the age of four, I have consistently pursued and achieved multiple awards through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), reflecting a deep commitment to classical ballet and technical excellence. Over the years, I have progressed through the RAD’s structured examination levels, earning passes and merits that mark both my dedication and discipline in dance. These achievements represent not only my passion for the art form but also years of rigorous training, personal growth, and resilience in a highly demanding field.

I successfully achieved the Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, demonstrating my commitment to personal development, community involvement, and outdoor challenge. Through volunteering, developing a new skill, maintaining regular physical activity, and completing a three day expedition, I built resilience, teamwork, leadership, and time management skills. This experience pushed me outside my comfort zone and strengthened my ability to adapt, persevere, and contribute meaningfully to those around me.

I achieved the Bronze Arts Award, a nationally recognised qualification that celebrates creativity and engagement in the arts. As part of the award, I developed my artistic skills in several departments, such as taking part in a young theatre programme at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school, developing my designing skills in both clothing and home design and researching numerous musical icons. Throughout this award, I was able to explore the work of inspiring artists, share my knowledge with others, and actively participate in an arts event. This experience enhanced my creative thinking, communication, and reflective skills, while also encouraging me to take initiative and express myself through the arts.
