My employers have been consistently impressed by both my work ethic, flexibility, and my initiative. I'm extremely self-motivated to work hard and earn for myself, especially now that I have completed university and I'm looking at next steps. I'm energetic, outgoing, and I understand that a problem shared is a problem halved, which is why I am always looking out for ways to help my colleagues whenever possible. My varied employment history paired with my experiences at university would make me an asset to any team.

  • My most recent position at Langar Hall, an upscale restaurant and hotel, requried numerous skills relevant to any industry. Such as time management, teamworking, communication, adaptability and decision making.
  • The unpredictability of each shift meant I had to consistently solve any number of problems as soon as they arose, ensuring to stay calm as guests were always near.
  • Initiative was incredibly important. If we had to be told what needed to be done then we were already behind.
  • Any employee in hospitality must have excellent communication and teamwork skills due to the many moving parts.

  • Worked effectively under pressure during peak hours, ensuring timely services.
  • Collaborated with kitchen staff for seamless order delivery.

  • I would work during my university holidays through employment agencies. This employment was in various warehouses and other similar businesses.
  • I was offered permanent positions a number of times due to my reliability and work ethic.
  • These jobs often involved heavy lifting, meaning stamina and proper technique was required. It was also important to be as efficient as possible due to the daily targets we had to meet.
  • Problem solving skills and quick thinking were necessary skills to prevent any unexpected issues from causing delays.
  • Effective communication and teamworking skills allowed me to work with other members of the team cohesively.

  • Listened closely to instructions, carrying out fast-paced picking and packing in line with targets.
  • Unloading containers filled with products quickly, whilst also staying aware for damaged or defected stock that had to be seperated.
  • Complying with strict rules and safety measures to ensure there was no risk of accidents that could harm myself or other members of the team.
  • Cleaned and tidied work areas whenever possible to remove potential hazards and make sure the next shift had a clean workspace to begin their tasks.

  • Working this job allowed me to gain experience in a number of different roles and functions.
  • I was one the last temporary staff let go due to my hard work ethic and polite attitude, and adaptability.

  • This was my first job after turning 16.
  • Originally beginning as a potwash, I was eventually brought out front to assist behind the bar as I had quickly gained a reputation as hard working and efficient. I would still work as a pot wash some shifts. This dual role shows my adaptability.
  • As it was a popular business, I was required to work efficiently in a high stress environment and cooperate with other members of the team frequently.
  • Key aspects of the job:
  • Maintained bar stocks, replenishing daily as necessary.
  • Performed bar closing duties, thoroughly cleaning, sanitising and replenishing stock.
  • Engaged positively with guests encouraging repeat visits.
  • Cleared counters and disposed of waste and broken glass.
