• Company Overview: Previous Delphi Systems
• Responsible for ensuring all Customs & Freight processes for the site are implemented and managed in line with legal and business requirements
• Responsible for day to day management of customs / freight operations alongside implementation of optimization programs
• Central point of contact for the site in relation to all Customs IMPORT & EXPORT matters and Customs audits, liaising with all internal functions, brokers and freight forwarders as necessary
• Responsible for the maintenance of the AOE Status
• Liaise with the classification team and relevant Delphi technical staff to ensure that all part numbers have a GTC allocated Customs classification at the time of part creation
• Liaise with Customs legal counsel to check Export controls and licensing requirements
• Ensure that all documents are received by the Customs broker in full as soon as possible upon dispatch of goods from the supplier / Delphi and that appropriate clearance instructions are provided
• Monitor the Customs duty / VAT deferment statements to ensure that all deferred amounts relate to the relevant Delphi site and that guarantee limits are not exceeded
• Liaise with Trade Compliance regarding the use of any special regimes (IPR, OPR, Returned Goods)
• Monitor both imports & Exports to ensure that only Delphi contracted / approved brokers are used for Customs clearance and that all enquiries relating to Customs have a prompt response in order to expedite Customs clearance
• Determine Preferential Origin of the goods & act as a central point of contact
• Achieve the Logistics, cost reduction & inbound premium freight targets
• Conduct Logistics cost improvement workshops to identify ways to optimize logistic routes and truck utilization

• Responsible of coordinating the production, shipping and delivery of all orders (promotional and premium gifts) for the London and Amsterdam office
• To manage all logistical requirements, ensuring cost effective solutions are identified and implemented, all activity is planned and executed according to the agreed timeframes and all processes and supporting documentation requirements are adhered to in full
• Maintain carrier schedules and on-going updates
• Identify and provide multiple scheduling and mode of transport options
• Pre-shipment packing specification checks to ensure optimisation of container loading and palletisation is achieved
• Work with key stakeholders to achieve agreed critical paths
• Provide all forwarding partners with accurate and timely information relating to our requirements
• Provide in-house quotations using the tools and pricing agreements available to them
• Negotiate long-term and SPOT rate agreements with our forwarding partners
• To provide finalised quotes to the Sales and PM teams
• Support the Sales and PM teams with identifying the correct HS Tariff codes
• Responsible for updating all logistics data on SUK’s proprietary order management software: Connect
• To check the logistics information on purchase/sales orders as they are distributed
• Ensure all internal and external stakeholders are aware of the required vessel connection schedule and cut-off dates
• Work closely with the factories, PM and QC teams to ensure all shipments are released on-time to meet the agreed mode of transport and shipping schedule
• Ensure all clients’ own/external systems are updated as required
• Management of post-order administration, including shipping documentation collation, checks, amendments and preparation for distribution, creation of relevant customs clearance and delivery instructions to forwarders, updating of the logistics database with all activity as it occurs
• Management of monthly Intrastat obligations
• Provide timely, relevant and accurate shipment and delivery status information to all members of the team
• Monitor expenditure vs
• Budget, inform Sales/PM Teams of any variances and escalate to Operations Manager when necessary
• Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
