Within this varied role I assist guests with reception duties like check in and out and have responsibilities for payment and customer service excellence, we also work on the bar assisting with drinks and food orders, stock rotation, stock management and guest satisfaction. This multidisciplinary role helps me build good time management skills in the workplace. This helps me deliver better work and ideas. This job also helps me develop leadership skills, as it helps create an atmosphere of respect within my job role which in turn fosters creativity and collaboration. This skill of leadership helps promote motivation in the workplace. I recently completed my DM (duty manager) training course which helped me develop this skill of leadership. Communication is a further skill I have expanded when working in hospitality. This helps provide the customers with a welcoming experience since it shows I am willing to pay attention to them, help in resolving their problems, appreciate their feedback, and listen to any issues or questions they may have.
