I have always wanted to care for people. It has been my dream since I was young. I grew up caring for my nan, right up until the end of her life. Any support I can give to someone, I'll always do my best. I go to extreme lengths to help those in need. My family say it's in my nature, and that i was born to care for people. To be given this opportunity means everything to me. I've regularly taken my elderly friends blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and basic first aid- i'm also looking into a first aid course along side.
Trustworthy, caring, patient, intuitive, accepting, organised, creative, good communication, understanding, supportive, interact well with older generations I cared for my Nan who had cancer which involved comforting, supporting, personal care, supporting my grandad, running errands, helping with medication, basic cooking, taking her shopping in her wheelchair, accompanying her to chemotherapy and other hospital appointments I comforted her up until the end of her life, keeping her positive, calm and reassuring her she wasn't on her own and that she was loved I also have two elderly friends that I support and listen to, do odd jobs for and take out I experienced bullying at school and have counselled various friends who have and are still experiencing similar issues
I want to become a Youth worker. To help and understand young people when they're in need. Many people don't understand Mental Health until it takes someone's life. I lost my friend to suicide as well as experiencing challenging obstacles in my past. I don't want anyone to face the same situations as I have and to feel like they are alone. No one deserves to feel like that, I want it to be my responsibility to support them and to be the light they need in the darkness.
