grew up on and worked on a hill sheep and beef farm where i learned to work as part of a team, also when game and pheasant beating and later when i joined Young Farmers. where i was joint programme secretary and vice sports organizer. with Young Farmers I have competed in public speaking and stock judging to the national final.

I played football from the age of 5 and ruby for the last 3 seasons.

I want a practical hands on job, i have several older friends are welders and fabricators who love what they do and their likely career path.

my predicted grades for my GCSE's are, 7s in the majority of subject apart from a 6 in English and a 8 in media studies.

i am applying to Appis on the highest recommendation from a friend in his first year of a similar apprenticeship, plus talking to people on both sides of the apprenticeship system, Appris has a great reputation.

• I live and work on a beef and sheep farm. I am very keen about looking after my small flock of 27 goats

• i play rugby on the weekends
