I am looking for employment involving Customer Service skills, in an environment which provides varied tasks and challenges. I enjoy meeting and interacting with other people and am keen to learn about all aspects of the workplace. Utilising organisational, and problem solving skills, and be hands-on and proactive in the completion of tasks allocated to me.
Work Experience
Reception - Checked guests in and out, have managed and dealt with bookings in person and via telephone or email. I was responsible for general administrative duties and was expected to help resolve guests queries and problems. This considerably enhanced my customer service skills, encouraged the use of my own initiative and involved my working in a organised manner under pressure.
Restaurant - Setting and clearing tables, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation and serving meals at room service.
Housekeeping - I was responsible for the cleaning and presentation of hotel rooms and public areas, this enhanced my attention to detail.
You Fit Leisure and Gym Area - Worked as part of their team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations, was responsible for cleaning the gym and pool area, testing analysing the pool's PH and Chlorine levels.
Ensuring that safety standards were maintained at all times.
As part of a small team I was involved in developing a plan for the organisation and smooth running of a Charity Awards Dinner with 250 guests. I was also proactive in creating a theme and developing and engaging programme of events to entertain and capture interest.
On the evening itself, I was responsible for organising and setting up the seating layout, ensuring guests were seated appropriately. I also was involved with setting up each table to ensure a high level of presentation. I undertook the roll of greeting guests on arrival, directing them to their tables and acted as a Table Host, serving food and drinks, chatting and interacting with them to provide a seamless service.
As part of the family business, I liaise with customers in person, via telephone and email, dealing with collections and deliveries, orders and queries. I deal with general administration and assist in the delivery and collection of antique furniture all around the country.

I have participated as a volunteer in Emergency Response Training, which was located at Norwich Airport. I was involved in practice for real life emergency scenarios, including fire, plane crash and evacuation procedures as both passenger and Cabin Crew. I learned how to communicate in challenging situations and how to stay calm under pressure, whilst both giving and receiving instructions, thus ensuring safety practices and organisation was maintained at all times.
I have also volunteered and participated in Police Training Sessions in roll play as a passenger, in an aircraft under threat from terrorism, knife, bomb and hostage situations.
I am motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic, I enjoy learning new skills and meeting new people, acquaintances find me sympathetic and supportive. I am happy to work individually or as part of a team. I am organised, meticulous and reliable, and hope that other people find me polite, respectful and well mannered. I feel I am an honest person with good moral values.
