Raised in a family with a strong aviation background, with regular exposure to light aircraft flying and flight training through the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), developed an early fascination with aerospace engineering and a desire to understand the principles that enable flight. This passion has driven academic and professional development, motivating me to explore innovative technologies and methodologies that improve aircraft performance, efficiency, and sustainability. I am particularly motivated by the challenge of analysing complex engineering problems, understanding the reasoning behind design decisions, and contributing to solutions that support the future of aviation.
I am a creative, analytical, detail‑oriented engineer who thrives working towards clear objectives, independently or within multidisciplinary teams. In my final BEng year, I served as Project Manager for a group design project — coordinating activities, managing deadlines, and ensuring clear communication. This strengthened my leadership, organisation, and interpersonal skills, adapting to new challenges, draw on others’ expertise, and deliver collaborative solutions. Committed to high‑quality work and fresh ideas, actively learning from those around me.
Most recently, I completed a 12‑month internship at Airbus within the Component Aerodynamics team, contributing to R&D investigating CFD prediction against wind‑tunnel test results. This role let me apply academic theory to real‑world aerospace challenges. I analysed aircraft‑component performance, becoming highly skilled in ProLB, ANSYS EnSight, and ParaView. To boost analysis efficiency, I independently developed my Python skills, building tools to process, analyse, and visualise large datasets. Translating simulation outputs into actionable engineering insight was deeply rewarding and sharpened my technical, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities enormously.
As a member of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), holding the rank of Corporal, developed team and leadership skills, especially through assisting new recruits with learning and performing precise drills and engaging in practical exercises.
In sports, I participated in the DW (Devizes to Westminster) 125-mile canoe race with the LWC canoe team. This remarkable endurance event provided me with profound insights into my own physical and mental boundaries, as well as those of my team, teaching us how to collaboratively surmount challenges.
Represent Surrey in Water Polo and play cricket for Alton.
As a member of the Rocketry team, competed in the Peryton Space Rocketry competition.
