Summary

I'm an ASM with a genuine love for the hospitality industry, despite its issues its where i have done my best work and met and worked with some of my favourite people some that I proudly call friends.#

I am always looking for the next challenge, learning new skills and pushing both myself and a team to the next level.

Team building and training my future baristas and supervisors is something I take great pride in.

I have strong communication and problem solving skills, always pushing myself forward while supporting a strong teams back.

Playing the numbers games, finding trends and using the KPI's to come out on top for the area. A bit of friendly competition is healthy in the fast paced world that is the hospitality industry

Assistant store manager

Caffe Nero

  • Customer is King is and always has been my main philosophy, fostering a friendly environment where the customer feels both invited in and welcomed to stay. Its the little things that make the biggest difference
  • Handling cash both in day to day serving, cashing up and weekly banking and safe counts.
  • The numbers game of hospitality is something that fascinates me, chasing trends, finding patterns, figuring out how each week should be run ; i.e ordering, rotas.
  • At the end of the day you can be the best ASM, in the world but if you haven't proved yourself and created and maintained an environment where your team wants to have your back and follow your leadership then there is no point even turning up. Supporting my Team and having their backs is very important to me.

  • Solo trading was the main skill i had to learn for this job as we were very short staffed for the time i was employed for. Opening solo for the first 3 hours and closing solo for the last 5
  • Unfortunately i was only able to work there for 6 months as our lease was not renewed but in that short time i learnt so much about running a efficient shift and working with a tight team.
  • I was also taught the importance on the Service aspect of hospitality not just a friendly smile and a good coffee but listening to each customers story and needs, taking that extra moment to take there drinks over, asking if there is anything else we could do for them. You never know how much of a difference you could make in someones day just from a small interaction and act of gratitude
