I recently completed my oral exam for Engineer OOW Unlimited and I am looking for an opportunity to work as a Engineer with a company who can harvest my talent and assist me in moving through the ranks to achieve a successful and long term career. During my first phase as a cadet, I gained experience working in the engine room and on deck, completing various maintenance tasks, safety drills as well as bunker operations. During my first contract on board I was faced with strict rules as a result of the pandemic therefore in my 4 month spell on board I was not allowed off the ship in any of the ports we visited.
Seastar Endeavour
During my second phase, I spent time shadowing the OOW learning more about the specific job role, planned maintenance tasks, becoming competent in Engine room watchkeeping. I was also faced with strict rules set by various ports where the crew on board were not allowed any shore leave.
