I am a motivated and compassionate paediatric student nurse due to qualify in August 2026 with a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, child centred and family focused care. I have gained valuable experience across varied clinical placements including Accident and Emergency, a children's acute inpatient ward, a neonatal unit, an elective care unit, a special educational needs school and within a health visiting team. These various placements have enabled me to develop strong clinical, communication, collaborative, organisational skills and knowledge of caring for infants, children and young people with variety of health conditions.
I collaborate with a team of teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Sunday School lessons that support children's learning and participation. Also, I support pupils with special needs, ensuring inclusion in all activities. In addition, I utilise innovative teaching techniques, improving student comprehension levels.
I welcomed new students into the university to help them feel comfortable and included on campus. I was a friendly point of contact for students and sent regular messages to inform them of what was happening at university. I offered emotional support to students by arranging 1-1 meetings and listened to them when they felt overwhelmed and anxious. I signposted students to relevant services to support them such as well being support, academic support, clubs and societies and academic activities. I also helped students navigate the university campus so they know where to go.
I welcomed prospective students and their families, delivering informative tours of university accommodation while providing clear and accurate information about residential life and the accommodation. I demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills by confidently engaging with students and their families, I also responded to questions in a professional and supportive manner. I created a welcoming and inclusive environment for visitors, ensuring they felt comfortable, supported, and informed throughout their visit.
Worked in a team to sort and organise donations by checking donated food for quality and expiry dates. I assisted in sorting items into categories and safely onto shelves ad storage areas. I prepared bags with food and toiletries then handed them out to clients. I also helped out with paperwork and voucher systems. I greeted visitors in a warm and friendly manner, treated everyone with dignity and maintained confidentiality. I listened and provided emotional support where appropriate.
