Obstetrics and Gynaecology: 36 months rotation

• Provided comprehensive prenatal, antenatal and postnatal care
• Provided emergency obstetrics/Gynaecological care( did more than 50 caesarean sections, 2 exploratory laparotomy) and safe delivery services.
• Coached junior doctors and mentored medics to improve competencies.
• Provided post-abortion care, contraception awareness and pre-screening counselling.

Surgery: General (6months rotation), Orthopaedics(3months)

Urology(3months), Burns and Plastic (3months)

• Conducted many simple surgical procedure (7 Lipectomies, 2 lumpectomy)
• Performed about 30 infant male circumcision, 1 chest tube insertion.
• Assisted 5 hip replacement surgeries, 3 craniotomy, VP shunt placement.

Paediatrics - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (3months), Children Emergency Ward (6months), Infectious disease unit (3months)

• Managed septic, asphyxiated neonates, secured IV access and collected blood samples.
• Did a few umbilical vein cannulation and exchange blood transfusion for neonatal jaundice.
• Diagnosed and started more than 50 children on anti retroviral treatment.

Internal Medicine: Nephrology Unit (3months), Dialysis centre(3months), Endocrinology Unit (3months), Cardiology Unit (3months)

• Diagnosed and treated kidney diseases (Nephrotic syndrome, acute and chronic kidney diseases etc.).
• Carried out femoral cannulation for dialysis treatment.
• Diagnosed and managed patients with diabetic emergencies and heart diseases,
• Participated in regular ward rounds to review and improve patient's well being.
