Speciality: Coronary Care

• Ability to manage patients with acute cardiovascular illnesses requiring therapies such as non-invasive ventilation, temporary cardiac pacing, central venous and arterial lines, inotropic support and management of arrhythmias.
• Advancement in skills of ECG analysis
• Certification in advanced life support
• Certification in cannulation and venipuncture
• Ability to work as nurse in charge of the unit after-hours which included appropriately delegating unit work load to staff on shift, providing support for staff, students and patients and assisting to solve clinical issues on unit.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and hospital administration such as patient flow to assist with discharge planning and coordination of incoming patients to the unit.

Speciality: Acute Geriatrics/Medical Assessment Unit

• providing care to patients including but not limited to physical examinations, taking health histories, administering medications, monitoring vital signs and assistance with daily activities.
• Ability to work with patients that have behavioural and psychological symptoms and contributing to the creation of management plans.
• Ability to work as team leader for the ward supporting nursing staff and collaborating with both multidisciplinary teams and hospital administration towards patient care and discharge planning,
• Preceptor to new staff, graduates and university students when required.

Speciality: Bank staff

• Worked on a wide range of medical and surgical wards including but not limited to; cardiac, respiratory vascular, orthopaedics, renal, aged care and paediatrics.
• providing care to patients including but not limited to physical examinations, taking health histories, administering medications, monitoring vital signs and assistance with daily activities.
• Continued development of knowledge and skills through exposure to a wide variety of patients and conditions.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and working within new nursing and MDT teams.

Speciality: New Graduate Nursing Rotation Program

• Gained experience working with the areas of neurology, cardiology and general medical.
• Provided holistic care to patients including medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living and contributing to the development of care plans.
