I successfully manage and support a workforce where approximately 50% of my team are neurodivergent, promoting an inclusive and supporting working environment. I have implemented a number of new systems and processes to the department that have cut costs, reduced workload pressures and streamlined team workflows. I worked within a busy maternity triage department supporting midwives, clinicians and patients in a high pressure 24/7/365 environment. I managed staff rotas for a team of six to ensure continuous department coverage. I answered around 140 phone calls a day prioritising urgent and emergency situations appropriately assisted midwives with patient admission and booking processes using NHS computer systems.
