Compassionate and motivated student nurse with strong communication and problem-solving skills, developed through academic study and clinical placements. Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt quickly to new clinical environments. Committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care and positively impacting service user wellbeing. Alongside studies, I have worked as a dependable part-time cleaner during Sixth Form and university, developing strong time management, responsibility and a solid work ethic. Currently gaining further experience through placement within a Cygnet team, enhancing knowledge of mental health care and organisational practice, and currently seeking a nursing position to begin a professional career.
I believe I have managed to develop core transferable skills throughout all my clinical placements whilst obtaining my degree. Placement areas such as acute ward, personality disorder ward, rehabilitation ward, dementia care, and CMHT older adults have allowed me to work alongside others in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, developing risk assessment, de-escalation and safety planning skills. Specific clinical areas have allowed me to work alongside service users with complex presentations and increased emotional dysregulation, meaning maintaining therapeutic boundaries whilst using trauma-informed approaches has been a core skill.
Together, these experiences have prepared me to deliver safe, compassionate, and recovery-focused care within acute environments, while remaining adaptable to fluctuating acuity and complex clinical needs.
