As a lifeguard there was a variety of roles such as setting up the pool equipment such as lanes, diving boards and floats and had to co operate with colleges in order to do this task with safety.
there was many standard procedures such as constantly tracking the temperature and chlorine levels of the pool, also a hourly headcount to keep within the limits of the amount of people inside the pool.
discipline was heavily exercised in life guarding as you would have to verbally communicate to swimmers to be prohibited to certain actions such as no running and flips to ensure maximum safety for themselves and other swimmers
