I have been an NHS employee for 16 years as a band 4 administrator, and now believe after attending university and completing a degree in Health & Social Care, with a focus on leadership in healthcare and my children being older that I am ready to progress. Within my current role as a directorate administrator, I communicate daily with all levels of staff, in all departments, including business partners in POD and finance, senior management team and recruiting managers. I have implementing new procedures and pathways which have been successful in support the Operations DMT. I collate data daily and record it in effective spreadsheets that I have produced and analyse that data as and when required. This often involves dealing with sensitive information and can be utilised by all levels of staff included senior managers in order to enable risk assessment and resource planning. I facilitate senior level meetings and ensure effective communicate within a directorate of over 600 employees. I am proactive within my current role, regularly producing and presenting forward work plans and highlight reports. I was previously employed as the AAA & peripheral MDT Co-ordinator for the SE Wales Vascular Network, this involved working for consultants from 3 trusts, Cardiff and Vale UHB, Cwm Taf and Aneurin Bevan and using the Patient and imaging record systems for all of them too. I was responsible for running and organising the weekly MDT and quarterly M&M meetings for the SE Wales Vascular Network and taking minutes for these which were circulated after. This demonstrates my ability to work with a multidisciplinary medical team and my ability to organise meetings and take minutes. During my time as MDT Co-ordinator, and indeed my previous roles within the NHS, I have further developed my organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to work alongside and communicate with staff from all levels within the NHS, both as part of a team and effectively as an individual. This allows me to efficiently manage and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure. I believe that good communication throughout is key to maintaining efficient and accurate work, hitting targets and timescales, whilst maintaining effective patient flow and good colleague relations. To confirm, I used many NHS computer systems during my time in the NHS and particularly the last post as MDT coordinator such as PMS, Clinical Portal, WCP, the Aneurin Bevan CWS, Cwm Taf Myrrdin, Radis, IEP & NVR. During my time working for the NHS, I have acquired many new skills, including knowledge of medical & anatomical terminology, accurate minute taking and time management, which has allowed me to accurately manage my workload in a fast pace environment with strict deadlines. I have a wealth of experience with dealing with patients and clients in sometimes challenging or emotional situations and believe I deal with these situations effectively but always with empathy. I am a proficient user of Microsoft Office, with a fast and accurate typing ability. I am confident with checking important documentation, and ensuring confidentiality is kept at all times. I have experience in academic audio typing as well as medical during my time as a PA to Consultant Breast Nurse and would also book accommodation and transport and reclaim expenses when required and diary management. I am experienced in telephone correspondence, reception procedures and cash. I am a self-motivated, highly energetic, enthusiastic and trustworthy individual with over 20 years of experience in Customer Service and Office administration who strives to do the best job I can. I am hard-working, polite and punctual at all times. I am able to travel to additional sites and work additional hours as required. I am friendly, a team player and approachable with excellent communication skills.
