I am keen to start working to improve my skill set that will help me in my further career. My interest in law began at a young age and has continued to grow as I have come to understand how deeply it influences everyday lives. I am fascinated by the way law shapes our society, protects individuals and ensures fairness for all. The logical and debating aspects of law particularly appeal to me, as I enjoy exploring different viewpoints and constructing well-reasoned arguments. I am especially drawn to areas such as criminal law and human rights, as they demonstrate how the legal system can have a direct and meaningful impact on people's lives. I find it inspiring how law can give a voice to those, who might otherwise go unheard and help create positive change in society. Through my studies and personal experiences, I have developed strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a curiosity about how legal decisions affect communities and individuals.
At my current sixth form, I have achieved the role of Law Ambassador where I help my Law teacher in as many ways I can. For example helping out at open evenings, talking to new students about studying law, explaining what the subject is like, how exams work, and what skills are useful.
I have also achieved the role of Student Welfare Captain where I am able to have check ins with students to see how they are doing academically and socially. This is really important as students know they have a safe space in sixth form where they can openly talk to someone about how they are feeling.
