As a Group PA to the children service my main part of my role is to provide a comprehensive Personal Assistant service to the Senior Matron and Matrons including the management/maintenance of electronic diaries, arranging appointments and meetings, within my role I am also tasked with the role of preparing agenda's, typing and distributing minutes including Governance meeting and documents keeping files accurate and up to date and producing action plans following meetings and ensuring that all actions are carried out. My role also involves dealing efficiently with incoming emails and correspondence in a timely manor involving making independent decision to a professional standards.
As part of my role I would help support the Group management team in gaining the relevant information or complaint response from the Matron and Consultants in a efficient time frame.

Cancer Pathway Co-ordinator

As a Cancer Pathway Co-ordinator my main responsibilities would be to co-ordinator the weekly MDT meetings for the Gastroenterology cancer department this would involved checking progress of all our patients within their treatment plan and allocating all required patients to be discussed within the meeting, during the meeting I would minute take all the patients results from Histology and Imagining results which would then be required to upload onto the patients medical record. Within my role I would also track the patients who are on the cancer pathway making sure all investigations are within the targeted time frame and escalating any patients out of their time frame to the divisional team in a weekly PTL Meeting.

At Walsall Manor my duties as a administrator for the Diabetic Foot Team was to be the main point of contact for service users and patients who would require urgent appointments within a 24 hour period, the diabetic foot team was put in place for diabetic patients who are at risk of ulcers and potential amputees in result to this part of my job was to make sure any referrals via email or telephone where dealt with efficiently and all patients booked in within a 24 hour time frame Following on from this I would type consultant letters urgently making sure all services user involved would have an update and to be able to carry on with the correct treatment.

Within this role I was given the opportunity to help out with the general diabetes team this included monitoring the email address daily making sure all referrals where allocated and appointments booked either with a nurse/ consultant or within our education programs. I was given opportunity to take the lead on the Free style Libre sensor allocating the sensor to all Type 1 diabetics on prescription, taking the lead on this program really challenged my admin responsibilities as this role involved me inviting all Type 1 diabetics to a training session which myself and the company would provide the training following on from this all patients would be inputted onto a spreadsheet so appointments could be tracked and monitored to make sure all support is provided. As part of my admin role I would liaises with all the Nurse and Consultants to help manage their diaries, arranging cover for annual leave and to facilitate additional clinics to meet patient demands.

At Care fertility, my job role is a Receptionist/Administration Assistant. Part of my role is to
answer the telephone, deal with voicemails which would lead to booking patient
appointments with the relevant consultant. Within my role I would take payment via card or cash allocating these payments to patient accounts. As being an administration assistant I would also scan and email documents to other clinics when information is required, file away any notes and patient information that needs to be securely filed away. I also send out appointment letters and type up consultant letters.

As front of house i would also take care in answering the phone to take bookings for either rooms or events and offering information to new potential customers. As a small hotel, I also had the pleasure in helping out during busy periods including waitressing which included helping out behind the bar.

At the Card Factory my job title was Assistant Manager, Within in this role I had to order stock and then replenish it when it arrived within the store. I also dealt with the daily takings which involves sending them to the bank and making sure it all balances with the till receipts. I also helped in the training of new and existing staff members both with till and shop training and to become a part of the management team. I also had to liaise with the area manager on a day to day basis, I would often work a shift which involved opening or closing the store and covering the Managers days off and annual leave which at times would involve dealing with customer complaints and getting these resolved efficiently.
I started with the company as a temporary Christmas staff member working my way up to the Assistant Manager position.
