Summary

I believe I would be a good within the role of family group decision maker as I have good knowledge of the care system due to working in the industry for over 15 years. I understand the importance of getting the young person to engage in services offered to them, whether this is through play, sports, listening, letting them vent. Any communication is better than no communication. I think I have transferable skills which would be useful within the role as I know how to communicate with families, professionals and young people. Within my experience I have a history of leading a high-performance within a residential care home setting where I was a senior practitioner for several years. I am dedicated to young people who are going though the care system, more importantly if I can support a young person to not go through the care system and remain the the family home or with extended family that is a positive outcome. I will offer support, advise and guidance's to the young person but also to the the care provider. I am willing to learn and do what it takes to be the best I can in the role in which I am employed in. I work well with management and can take instructions and work independently to complete tasks set. I am currently hard-working personal advisor with strong organisational skills. I have exceptional planning and prioritisation of tasks. I am reliable and always stride to perform to the best of my ability. I know the importance of multi-agency working and how this can help young people and families get a sense of identity, and I will do my best to support young people to have successful futures.
