  • My role is to provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients. My role includes:
  • Scan, file and send medical records to professionals such as solicitors and insurance companies
  • Take requests from patients for GP letters
  • Raise invoices and take receipt of payment
  • Liaise with the GP private work lead and ensure they have the adequate information to complete task in hand
  • Take patients temperature and ask relevant COVID-19 questions prior to entering the building
  • Book in, amend and cancel patient’s appointment over the telephone and through the website, In line with practice procedures ensuring optimum efficiency
  • Ensure computerised appointment system and patient records are kept up to date
  • Answering in-coming telephone calls ensuring calls are documented and redirected accordingly
  • Produce repeat prescriptions and ensure timely distribution of completed prescriptions
  • Assist patients with any issues or questions they might have
