I have learnt and developed a wide variety of skills throughout my working career. I am able to work independently and as a team and I am an excellent communicator.
I have worked both skilled and unskilled jobs and have always found fulfilment in any role that I undertake. I am a fast learner and have a strong belief that any job should be approached with both enthusiasm and commitment.
I currently work as a freelance interior designer. The service I provide is all done online. Some of my roles are outlined below.
I taught all areas of Technology at KS3 level and Food Technology at KS4.
I was also the teacher in charge of Food Technology so was responsible for overseeing the implementation of this subject. This involved preparing schemes of work in line with the curriculum for teachers of Food to follow.
I was also responsible for exam entries and the marking of course work.
My other roles included managing the subject finances and I was also the First Aid representative.
I ran a successful Capet Shop in Sheffield for over 6 years. It was set up alongside my husband, who is a floor fitter.
My role was the general running of the shop. Typical daily duties included, serving customers, calculating quotes, ordering stock and general management of the shop.
Additionally I had to manage stock, organise fitters, liaise with flooring representatives and oversee the business accounts.
As a Food Technology teacher I was heavily involved in teaching the subject at GCSE Level.
To enable myself to gain more insight into the exam paper and to earn an extra income, I applied to become an exam marker.
This involved the assessment of GCSE papers from across the country.
I began teaching in a large secondary school. I taught pupils from aged 11-18. Teaching both GCSE and A level students.
