Emma Belli

I am currently studying Veterinary medicine at the University of Surrey. Alongside my studies, I volunteer for Welfare watch and am an active member of VetSoc. I also work alongside my studies as a pet sitter and walker, balancing my time effectively between the two commitments. This has diversified my experience working with different animals and people, as well as getting an insight into pet ownership.

Welfare watch - University of Surrey

• This position involves ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students whilst at the student union.
• It requires empathy, and commitment to the overall safety and enjoyment for the students at the university

Cannon hall farm- 14th April 2025 - 25th April 2025

• Broad animal experience, but mainly a lambing placement, working with difficult positioned lambs, feeding, medication and overall maintenance.

Thornberry animal sanctuary- 17th June 2024- 28th June 2024

• Working with many different dogs, with previous neglect, poor care and lack of rehoming, with a wide range of behaviour and personalities.

Mobely farm- 22nd July 2024 - 2nd August 2024

• Working with over 200 dairy cows daily (milking, general care), as well as administering medication, surgical observation, and dehorning of calves.

Cakeham stables- 8+ years

• Providing general care of horses and ponies, as well as educating children on the husbandry practices.

Donaldon's practice Thongsbridge - 30th May 2022 (One week) and 4th July 2022 (One week)

• Observed day one competencies such as castrates, and some more complex surgery such as knee surgery and spays on large dogs.
• Sat in on many consultations, and aided with small procedures such as nail clippings, and general practice maintenance such as cleaning after surgery, and surgical tool sterilisation.
