  • I am currently supporting the maternity and Neonatal unit following a CQC inspection with a 12 month trajectory for improvements, this includes leading on and monitoring standards of a range of clinical governance, clinical effectiveness and patient safety activity, in liaison with other multidisciplinary professionals and functional heads within the Maternity and Quality and Safety Team with direct line management of this team
  • Triangulating information and intelligence across the service, division, and trust to provide direction and focus areas for improvements in relation to governance, effectiveness, and quality improvement
  • Using incident trends and patient feedback to steer the direction, undertaking deep dives and thematic reviews to form recommendations and implement actions to improve patient safety and experience to birthing people and their babies

  • Leading on the Trust wide implementation of the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) including identifying and implementing the process for each level of investigations
  • Leading on incident investigation including patient safety incident investigations, after action reviews and thematic reviews to identify and implement SMART action to improve patient care, safety, and experience
  • Ensuring that where lessons are learnt around patient safety issues and actions are implemented that they are periodically evaluated for effectiveness, and that Risk Registers drive the development of strategies to improve patient safety and that emerging patient safety issues are identified and acted upon both within the divisions, departments, sites and (where appropriate) across hospital

  • In my role as Quality and Risk Manager, I was responsible for the development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical governance systems and processes which support the monitoring of key quality indicators
  • I enhanced the organisation’s quality improvement program in line with the corporate vision, governance framework and operational plan and to ensure the hospital was well prepared to meet external regulatory inspection requirements
  • Working as part of the hospital senior management team to co-ordinate and provide leadership for the operational management of quality assurance and safety with the aim of ensuring the provision of high-quality safe care
  • Championing and raising awareness of the benefits of effective Governance and implement strategies to increase the knowledge of staff on quality processes and regulatory requirements

  • My duties included: Performing management duties to ensure efficient day-to-day running of the practices in Marlow and London
  • I led the marketing and development of the practice and management and training of the staff
  • I functioned as the Registered Manager for the purposes of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ran the Health and Safety compliance across the sites
  • I supported the Dentists to ensure they hit their agreed yearly targets and implemented ways and ideas to increase the revenue of the Dental Practices
  • I organised the opening of the Wimpole Street Practice which included putting all the protocols, policies, and procedures in place, designing the surgeries and decontamination room

  • Area manager duties based in Uxbridge, Beaconsfield and Datchet – Covering maternity leave
  • Whilst running the three practices and helping with the opening of the new practice in Beaconsfield, I had to make sure all surgeries where correctly operating under the new CQC guidelines
  • I attended many meetings and gained in depth knowledge regarding the Care Quality Commission and its requirements
  • I held monthly team meetings and one to one meeting to discuss any questions, queries and complaints members of the team may have, suggestions for improvements and any other subjects I felt needed to be discussed
  • I took control of the stock take and managed to budget it more efficiently and bring costs down
  • I ensured sure all members of the team were up to date with their registrations and were compliant with the requirements to work in a dental practice
  • I also took on the role of marketing manager and focused on what made us different to all the other practices
