
Lecturer in law with expertise in business, corporate and commercial law subjects and significant teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Established and active corporate insolvency and rescue law scholar with an expansive domestic and international research portfolio, which includes numerous and varied publications (books, peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, expert technical magazine articles). Emilie is currently working on four ongoing externally-funded research projects and is engaged with a wide network of UK and international academics, industry representatives and policymakers in corporate insolvency law. Author of Redefining Harmonisation. Lessons from EU insolvency law (2022) and English Corporate Insolvency Law. A Primer (2022). She is currently editing E. Ghio and R. Perlingeiro (eds.), National Legal Systems: Convergence or Divergence? Lessons from Contemporary Crises (Springer, 2023); and E. Ghio, J. Wood and J. Gant, Re-examining insolvency law and theory in the 21st century (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2024).
