Revit
Technically focused and detail-oriented Chartered Architect with over 12 years’ experience delivering complex multidisciplinary projects across the UK. ARB-registered and qualified in Italy with RIBA Part 3 equivalence, I possess a strong command of UK Building Regulations, BIM Level 2 workflows, and multidisciplinary technical coordination.
My versatile experience spans secure, civic, and public sector developments as well as private sector projects, encompassing both new-build and refurbishment schemes on brownfield and greenfield sites. Notable examples include the brownfield regeneration at Northgate Yard, Bridgwater, and the sensitive refurbishment of the Grade II listed Victoria House in London. This breadth has equipped me with the agility to tailor technical and design solutions to diverse project demands while respecting context, heritage, and client requirements.
Currently, I serve as a Senior Architect on high-profile technical delivery projects, leading and supporting teams through RIBA Stages 3 to 5. I focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, effective BIM coordination, and buildability, employing a strategic and collaborative approach that bridges design and construction seamlessly. With deep expertise in Home Office custodial standards, I lead the technical delivery of a high-security police deployment base, ensuring rigorous compliance and multidisciplinary coordination.
Known for proactive problem-solving and clear communication, I excel in resolving complex design and construction challenges, driving projects toward successful, compliant, and buildable outcomes. My commitment to technical rigour, creative collaboration, and thorough documentation consistently supports integrated solutions that meet and exceed project goals.
Crewe Police Office (Basford East Deployment Base)
Client: Cheshire Police / Home Office | Contractor: Willmott Dixon | 2025 – Present
Major new-build police deployment base (~300 staff), with secure parking, welfare facilities, and evidence storage.
Technical design delivery leadership at RIBA Stages 4–5 has been central to this project, utilising extensive knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Home Office custodial standards. Coordination of interdisciplinary teams (MEP, security, structural) and detailed Revit modelling enable the creation of buildable, compliant packages. Applying problem-solving skills, I resolve technical and construction challenges efficiently to support smooth project progress.
Nansledan – Market Street, Newquay
Client: Duchy of Cornwall | 2024 – Present
Mixed-use high street within a large urban extension, integrating retail, community, and co-working spaces with heritage-led design.
Technical expertise has driven the development of the Stage 4 package, focusing on traditional material detailing, sustainable compliance (EPC A, PV integration), and multidisciplinary Revit coordination. Problem-solving has played a key role in addressing design integration issues and ensuring adherence to UK Building Regulations and Building Control standards, while balancing heritage and environmental demands.
Victoria House, London
Client: Oxford Properties | 2022 – 2023
Grade II listed adaptive reuse project converting a landmark 1920s office building into life science facilities in London’s Knowledge Quarter.
I contributed to Stage 3 design development, supporting technical feasibility and coordination within a heritage and structurally complex context. With survey data incomplete, I led early-stage spatial and services planning across structural and MEP disciplines. Key tasks included feasibility testing of lab layouts around retained interiors (grand staircases, ballroom, director suites), resolving legacy design constraints (e.g. Alsop Architects’ atria and pods), and advising on services integration within load-bearing and listed elements. My proactive coordination and sound technical judgement ensured viable, regulation-compliant proposals were developed under tight constraints.
Dorset Police Headquarters
Client: Dorset Police | 2022 – 2023
A new, state-of-the-art headquarters replacing the outdated facility, designed to support modern, flexible working environments. The scheme targets a BREEAM “Very Good” rating, focusing on sustainability, efficiency, and long-term resilience. The architectural design features a refined material palette with a solid brick plinth and glazed upper floors articulated by anodised aluminium frames, balancing robustness with openness.
In my role as Technical Lead, I delivered RIBA Stage 3 and an exceptionally detailed Stage 4 package. One of the primary technical challenges involved meeting stringent acoustic requirements due to the building’s operational nature. I led multidisciplinary coordination efforts, managing BIM workflows and producing comprehensive technical documentation to ensure full compliance with building regulations and design intent. My work included close collaboration with structural and MEP teams to resolve complex coordination issues and the integration of solar control glazing and environmental comfort measures in line with sustainability targets. Throughout the project, I ensured buildability and regulatory compliance through rigorous technical detailing and proactive problem-solving.
Northgate Yard, BridgwaterClient: Sedgemoor District Council | 2022 – 2023 Leisure-led regeneration scheme including cinema, bowling alley, restaurants, and public realm improvements. I led the technical delivery of this £16 million regeneration project, contributing to RIBA Stage 4–5 packages. My responsibilities included consultant coordination, value engineering, and compliance with Building Regulations. I integrated sustainable features (solar readiness, water efficiency, biodiversity) and managed BIM workflows and documentation. My problem-solving approach helped resolve construction queries and deliver high-quality, buildable solutions.
The Barcode, Plymouth
Client: British Land | 2017 – 2021
£53M leisure complex including a 12-screen Cineworld IMAX, restaurants, mini-golf, and underground parking.
I supported planning and technical delivery, including Revit modelling, consultant coordination, and document control. My knowledge of Building Control, fire safety, and acoustic regulations ensured compliant and buildable packages. I successfully resolved design clashes and site queries, helping secure statutory approvals and contractor mobilisation for this landmark regeneration project.
Barnsley Custody Suite
Client: South Yorkshire Police | Contractor: Willmott Dixon | 2015 – 2017
High-security 20-cell custody suite designed to Ministry of Justice standards.
Technical design and secure detailing formed a key part of my contribution, with rigorous adherence to MoJ requirements and UK Building Regulations. Coordination of multidisciplinary inputs and Revit BIM modelling were supported by a proactive problem-solving approach to technical and design challenges within a high-security environment.
CODE Custody Suites – Modular Standardised Programme
Client: Willmott Dixon | 2015 – 2017
Development of modular custody suite types (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) tailored for varying force sizes.
Playing a pivotal role in technical coordination and BIM management, I ensured all designs met Home Office custody standards and UK regulations. The modular nature of CODE required innovative problem-solving to reconcile standardisation with specific site needs, streamlining workflows and enhancing delivery efficiency.
