Harborough Woodland Trust, Market Harborough, 2021-03, 2021-06, Supervising the coordination and leadership of smaller task groups, guiding other volunteers as to how to complete tasks. Widening interactive skills through event planning for planting days and exchanges with the sites of planting. Coordinating a group of 45 volunteers., Implemented a lasting effect on the environment through community engagement by planting 800 trees.

Accomplishments

  • Recently completed a placement year with Aldi as my third year of study at the University of Leeds. This year cultivated an interest in business; global markets such as consumer goods and the linkage between procurement and realisation of projects in the natural urban environment, building on the theory I had learnt in my first two years of study.
  • This also enlightened interest in the management of large-scale projects in the natural and built environment.
  • Geography as a discipline has provided a broad consensus of skills in IT, quantitative research and analysis fostering an eagerness to learn about ever-evolving world and challenges.
