Having successfully set up the Design Technology initiative at the University of Westminster in response to the impacts of the pandemic on academic studies.
During my undergraduate studies I was fortunate to be able to join the Grimshaw Technology Team for a work placement, which exposed me to the cutting edge of design technologies.
In particular I was able to have my first introduction to computational design and building information modeling tools.
Greening the Camps is a non-profit organisation that developed and maintained urban agricultural installations in refugee camps in Jordan. During my internship, I worked in a small team on a variety of projects from small scale installations to assisting with the design for a new community space in the Jerash refugee camp.
Working effectively within a team of local and international volunteers, completing three residential structures for families outside the city of Siem-Reap. In this hands-on approach, I learned about the practical methodologies for timber construction, local environmental factors and following a culturally sensitive aware approach to design.
