
I am a keen, enthusiastic horticulturalist with a strong commitment to learning, professional development and community engagement. I am dedicated to the roles I serve in and thrive in busy, hands-on environments. Horticulture is central to both my work and leisure, developed through managing my own allotment since the age of 11.
RHS Level 2 Horticultural Apprenticeship in a historic, visitor-facing garden. Significant responsibility within the kitchen garden, managing crops from propagation to harvest and sale. Developed strong practical skills in organic growing, crop rotation, seasonal planning, and pest and disease management. Supported maintenance of botanical collections and biodiversity-focused landscapes, including work on a National Plant Collection and replanting projects following Buxus loss. Competent in routine garden maintenance, planting, pruning, propagation, glasshouse work, composting, irrigation, biological control, and the safe use of horticultural machinery. Regularly engage with visitors, volunteers, and public events, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
Independent maintenance for private clients, including mowing, weeding, and general upkeep.
Ad hoc labouring and hard landscaping work, demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and safe working practices.
Gained experience using turf machinery and understanding basic turf management principles.
