After completing A-Levels in 2021 at Hurtwood House in Surrey, I studied at Morley College in Chelsea, London, doing a fashion foundation. I am currently in second year at London College of Fashion doing BA Fashion Styling and Production. I am hoping to gain an internship that will allow me to experience and learn as much as possible about the fashion industry. I have experience in jobs which work closely alongside other people, and really enjoy being a part of a team. Through previous studies, I gained good communication skills through teamwork and group work. I also developed a strong work ethic, which also allows me to be adaptable within a job and level-headed under pressure.
I assisted alongside a fashion student at Westminster who was interning for Alexander McQueen, by helping her to create hundreds of hand-sewn flowers to use in their final collection. This allowed me to ask valuable questions about the industry. It also introduced me to how to follow someone else's vision for their own project, which I can apply to any job where I have to follow a supervisor’s instructions.
Most recently I completed working at Woking Golf Club, a private member’s golf club. This included accepting and signing for deliveries and answering phones. I was also a keyholder and held responsibility for making sure the club was locked at night and opened in the morning.
As a volunteer at HM Prison Send, I worked in the cafe in the visitor centre, I really enjoyed volunteering and quickly learnt to handle fast-paced situations in busy environments, due to visitors' allocation times all being at once.
