I am a first year student at Bristol university currently studying Architecture and environmental engineering and I am eager to both learn and contribute to an architectural institution through an internship programme over the summer period. My experience working with architectural firms in London, such as Matter Architecture, has given me hands-on familiarity with the RIBA Plan of Work, allowing me to navigate and contribute to various stages of design and project delivery. My time at Matter architecture did not only teach me the basics fundamentals of software like Rhino to advance my three-dimensional model making but also how vital communication is in a team to produce consistent high quality work. From an early stage in my life i have had a passion for architecture, inspired by being surrounded by the iconic skyscrapers and cathedrals of London and with our world ever changing i would love to be able to one day contribute my own ideas through the knowledge i have gained. My university course has not only provided me with a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and sustainable practices, but also exposed me to design concepts through Orthographic and Axonometric drawings but my understanding is still very basic. I am looking for a company to kindly give me some insight of what it's like to work for an architectural institution and hopefully help and contribute to your team. Thankyou and hope to hear back from you soon.
