Hard working 5th year pupil with experience in construction now looking for electrical apprenticeship with local authority or electrical firm.
I worked with my dad in his plumbing and heating business, my duties involved running heating pipes, mounting radiators and general help with most tasks.
I was intrigued by fault finding, as my father explained it to me, start at beginning and work through process.
I was given a chance to work with KD Comms, a business owned by the dad of a rugby teammate. Work involved mounting and wiring satellites dishes, general labouring and tidying site at end of day.
This gave me the opportunity to experience a different trade. In this job I watched electrical engineers at work, I was interested in what their job involved. At home I searched for information on careers as an electrician, as I believed I was best suited to.
