Interests

Volunteering - Participating in the UBS Sports Inspired Games in 2019 allowed me to give back to the local community, assisting young children in Hackney in participating in a wide range of sports. Similarly, helping transform a London primary schools garden for outdoor lessons to take place is another example of the volunteering I am passionate about continuing throughout my professional career. Leadership Award - Achieved by completing a course over 1 year, which involved coaching and teaching simple sporting skills and games to Primary School children. This improved and honed not only my communication skills but also my organizational & management skills, as I had to establish physical activities and how they would be structured. Sport - I have been enjoying playing football since I was 5 years old and was lucky to represent my sixth form and Surrey University on multiple occasions. This alongside going to the gym ensures I maintain a good work-life balance, even at peak times of the year. Spending time with friends and family - Family is a very important part of my life, with a loving family that I enjoy talking with and learning from. Similarly, my time at university has given me an appreciation for many different cultures & personalities, expanding my network both in a social and professional aspect. Positions of Responsibility Sixth Form Responsibilities Subject Mentor - I was a subject mentor for Economics and entailed me assisting both GCSE Economics students and the new Year 12's in their studies, as well as representing the subject at open evenings for the Sixth Form. This also involved me speaking to large groups of people as to the benefits of studying the subject, showing that I made a positive impact on my Economics teachers and they therefore could trust me in a higher role. Subject Captain - Being a subject captain for Politics involves me assisting the politics teachers whenever they need my help with things such as lesson planning, displays etc. Also, it involves attending open evenings for the sixth form, alongside my role as Economics Student Mentor. This meant I represented the sixth form on a number of public events and therefore, improved my ability to communicate to a large group of people.
