When I joined the early years profession in 2019, I knew I was passionate about helping people to thrive and better themselves. I am an enthusiastic and hard working individual who is always keen to learn and develop new skills, taking directions well. I am willing to partake in any opportunity of learning and gaining new skills and knowledge. I am a team player as within my current workplace I have the role of being a mentor for trainees who have just began their training. I spent time setting up a network for all new trainees in order for them to have a safe space to ask questions or voice any concerns in which they may have. This has went well and I am always looking for ways in which makes everyone feel included and as part of a team. I take into account everyone's opinions and listen to others ideas as well as confidently voicing my own. I like to come to solutions that incorporate these ideas or opinions so everyone feels that their voice is being heard. I have a very calming nature and have the ability to talk freely to everyone biking a good rapport with everyone I come into contact with, building trust in colleagues and members of the public is something I think is very important. Being organised has helped me thoroughly in my current role as an Early Years practitioner as I have had to keep records and data of 8 key children, observing them daily and recording any details in which is necessary in order for me to track their learning. I have been also entrusted to be in charge of my room where I have the role to ensure ratios are being met, arranging meetings with parents and other services and also ensuring I liaise with the correct bodies to ensure the children's care and needs are being met. I am adaptable to any situation, being able to think and act quickly in order to achieve the best possible outcome for all.
