Leading the strategic development, management and impact measurement of The Rothschild Foundation’s philanthropy for Arts, Communities and Environment, reporting directly to CEO and Trustees. I oversee a grant-making budget of approx. £13 million per annum across a range of programmes, with grants ranging from £5K - £500K. Direct support of the Grants Committee, Management Committee and Audit and Risk Committee. Operational responsibility for Waddesdon Manor, as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Management, HR and professional development of Grants Team, including restructuring and new roles to deliver effective, efficient and proportionate grantmaking.
• Providing exceptional support and reporting to Trustees, enabling growth of grants budget from £8M - £13M.
• Implemented grant-making software Blackbaud, resulting in increased efficiencies and consistency in reporting for the Foundation and its customers.
• Implemented the DEI Data Standard, Access Support Fund, and recruitment of Community Outreach Manager, effectively contributing to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
• Led the Foundation’s response to the cost of living crisis, allocating emergency support for local charities and multi-partnership funding programmes aimed at systemic change, alongside a wellbeing support programme for staff.
• Leading a Better Food and Farming funder collaboration with the Environmental Funders Network and Esmee Fairbairn whilst supporting a group of food and farming NGOs to convene around new ways of working.
• SLT Sustainability Champion, spearheading the creation of a Conservation Hub at Waddesdon Manor and launching a new Green Fund, supporting grantees to locally respond to climate change.
• Original Steering Committee member of ACF Stronger Foundations initiative with the Rothschild Foundation used as an example of best practice.

• Supporting the strategic development of the Rothschild Foundation’s philanthropy, initiating and developing an effective place based strategy for grant-making in Buckinghamshire, increasing place-based investment to £3M.
• Improved partnership working leading to successful initiative Bucks Data Exchange and multi-stakeholder Bucks Capacity Fund.
• Demonstrable success in improving support and connection across the VCSE in Bucks, including co-funding the first cultural development organisation for Buckinghamshire and the Buckinghamshire Food Partnership.

• Management of a portfolio of approximately seventy grants ranging from £5,000 - £150,000 for VCS in Bucks.
• Undertaking sector research and analysis of data on local need to inform reports for Trustees.
• Led the 'Dialogues' programme, a pre-designated fund focused on collaborative initiatives.
• Improved the Foundation’s reputation and profile through increased outreach and improved communications.

• Advice giving and grants assessment across the range of Arts Council grants programmes, including capital and capacity building, and relationship management with National Portfolio organisations.
• Responsible for delivering the South East Diversity Strategy, resulting in in four new diverse organisations joining the South East National Portfolio 2018-2022.

• Led the implementation of a Local Partnerships Programme and Investment strategy.
• Secured annual investment of £200K+ from national funders, government and corporates for locally based programmes supporting better outcomes for young people in the East Midlands.

• National partnership development with corporates, resulting in an expansion of youth employment programmes across M&S stores.
• Piloted new models of staff training to ensure high standard of compliance across regional programmes.

• Managing Trusts and Legacies Fundraising Department for a national education charity.
• Secured and managed approximately 80 grants and 10 legacies to an annual target of £600,000.

• Manager of a London arts organisation developing creative engagement projects for vulnerable young people in London and internationally.
• Responsible for business planning and operational delivery.

• Administration of national and international projects within Arts Council England's diversity and equality strategy.
