I'm a hardworking, independent person who always strives to do things to the best of my ability. I consider myself as someone that is easy to get along with, which has helped me to work well as part of a team. I am proud of my positive attitude, and I believe I can achieve anything I want to set my mind to, even if it’s going to be a challenge.
I have recently completed my L2 Beauty Therapy Diploma at college and have been working in a local café, helping me to build my confidence and skills. I am now keen to take the next steps to pursue my career in the health and beauty industry.
As part of a team, I am responsible for serving customers, making sure their needs are met. It is important to be efficient, due to the popularity and busy nature of the café. In addition to providing good customer service, I help ensure that the café is kept clean and tidy and in line with health and safety procedures.
I was responsible for keeping the salon clean. I swept the floors, wiped down tables and chairs, dusted shelves, and generally kept things organised.
I also greeted customers when they arrived in the salon, helped them settle and offered them refreshments. I learnt how to use the coffee machine, I ensured the fridge remained stocked, washed gowns and made sure my colleagues were ready for their next client.
The job gave me so much experience with working with people, whether as part of a team or with customers.
