  • Assistant at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford
  • This was a very busy and stressful time for the NHS because of Covid
  • I had to learn quickly to deal with a high number of patients delivering the best care possible with strict infection control in place and adequate PPE
  • Working longer shifts and sometimes having to work on different wards with different staff I didn't know
  • This brought extraordinary challenges, but I adapted to the ever-changing situations I was faced with
  • completed the care certificate and underwent clinical observations from my assessors
  • learned how to take patients observations and learn how to document patients information on EPR.
  • Once I completed my apprenticeship and passed with a distinction Level 2 Diploma in Health Care I was taken on full time as a Health Care Assistant on the Renal Ward at the Churchill Hospital.
